Same tank, different chemical

BEFORE
BEFORE
AFTER
AFTER

Left: washed with a chemical that did not match the load. Right: the same wall after one wash with the right chemical.

Why the same tank costs you a second round every week (and it is not the wash)

A tank comes in. The operator grabs the chemical that is standing there and runs the wash the way he always does. On time, on feel.

Forty minutes later the foreman leans over the manhole. The streak is still there. Or you still smell the last load.

No signed paper, so no release. The driver waits by his cab. The tank has to go into the bay again.

That second round is the most expensive round. Extra water, extra chemical, extra hours. And the slot was already sold, so you hand it back.

This is only load 1 of the 5 that most wash bays get wrong. Below you can see where more time leaks away.

What is in it for you?

Fewer second rounds

The bay that first had to go into the wash twice is now clean in one go. That saves hours.

More bays per day

Every wash bay that is free earlier you can sell again. Every day again.

Less chemical

No more grabbing the heaviest stuff when in doubt. Choose by the load and dose by the soiling.

Clean certificate stays in place

You run the right order and rinse after. That way every tank is provably clean at the inspection.

The 5 loads that cling the most: which chemical loosens each one in a single round

Everyone thinks: if it is still there, just run it longer. But grease does not come off with a chemical made for lime, no matter how long you wash. And lime does not come off with a chemical made for grease. One does not dissolve the other. More time or heat changes nothing there. A rewash is almost always the wrong grab, not a wash error.

We make these chemicals ourselves, in our own lab. There we see the same thing every week: almost every wash bay loses its time on exactly the same 5 loads. We put them in a free guide, load by load. In plain words. You look up what was in the tank and you know which chemical goes in and in what order.

Inside the guide you will find:

  • Load 1, grease: why running it longer only makes the wall slicker, and which chemical takes it off in one go.
  • Load 3, the sticky film: the thin layer that stays on the wall and that no ordinary chemical touches. The guide says which chemical does.
  • Load 5, lime: why it keeps coming back in the same tank, and which chemical clears it in ten minutes.
  • Rule 2 of the order: the one water rinse between two chemicals you must never skip. Skip it and the second step does not work.
  • The look at the manhole: how to see in one glance whether a tank is really clean, before the inspector comes.
  • The one question for your supplier lab before you put a new chemical on the shelf. Forget it and you buy a chemical that does not loosen your loads.

What the people who tried it say

Our customers are wash bays and terminals all over the Netherlands. We keep their company names private, that is part of doing business. You may read their words.

“One load cost us a second round every week. Turned out we were on the wrong chemical. After the lab test it went clean in one go.”
RichardWash bay manager, tank cleaning station
“They did not show up with a stack of folders. They asked: what keeps clinging for you? Send it over. Two weeks later there was a sample that simply worked.”
KevinWash bay foreman
“We ran our lime tanks far too long. The right chemical grabbed it in ten minutes. Bay 2 no longer stands still every week.”
PatrickOperator, container cleaning
“Honestly, I thought: another supplier. But that sample was truly made for our soiling. Fewer hazard symbols on the drum too, saves hassle with storage.”
MustafaTechnical service, wash bay
“Half an hour on the phone and I had a plan I could run with myself. Became a customer months later. Nobody chased me with calls.”
WilcoPurchasing, terminal
“One Saturday we sat without chemical. They brought a drum the same day. You do not forget that when you run seven days a week.”

An honest letter from the our lab bench

Dear professional,

We are a Dutch factory. Our place smells of chemistry. We make cleaning chemicals, every day, for years.

Every week people send us their soiling. A stubborn oil film that keeps clinging. A sticky layer on the wall that no ordinary chemical loosens. Lime that keeps coming back in the same tank. In our lab we work out which chemical loosens it. That is our trade.

And in all those years we kept seeing the same thing. Wash bays pay too much. Not because their chemical is bad. But because nobody checks whether the chemical actually matches the load.

We always gave that knowledge away to customers. Now we put it in a free guide, for everyone.

Why free? Simple. We hope that after reading you think: if their free guide is this good, what would their chemical do? That is our whole business model. Now you know the motive, and you can read the guide in peace.

The Cleanline teamOur own factory and lab

Honest: our chemical is often not the cheapest per litre.

We are open about that. A drum from us sometimes costs more than the drum you work with now.

But you do not pay per litre. You pay per wash. A chemical that matches the load finishes in one round, with less product and less water.

Do the math. One fewer second round a day is over 300 sellable slots a year back on your wash bay. Add the water, the chemical and the hours on top. Then you know what the lowest litre price really costs.

That is why we let you test for free first. Your own numbers convince better than we do.

How one station did it

A wash bay in Rotterdam ran two loads in one round again

A wash bay with four spots had two set loads that almost always cost a second round. They laid the guide next to their own list. On the one load the operator was on the wrong chemical. On the other he skipped the water rinse between the two chemicals. Do the math: 6 fewer rewashes a week is over 300 slots a year you can sell again.

“We thought it was down to those loads themselves. Turned out we were on the wrong cleaner. Since we flipped it, they do not have to go back into the bay.”

Questions we hear a lot

Do you clean tankers, containers or IBCs and want fewer second rounds? Then yes. The guide is for the people who run the wash: planners, wash bay managers, foremen and purchasing.

You do not have to. Our lab does that. You tell us which leftover load keeps clinging. We make the sample. You run one wash and look through the manhole. That is all we ask.

No. The sample is used up, you have signed nothing. That is the whole risk. The worst outcome is that you stay on your current chemical. The best is one round instead of two, at lower use.

Yes. The guide is built for it. You run the right order and rinse the chemical all the way out. No visible residue, no smell. That is exactly what the inspector checks at the manhole before he signs.

Nothing. The guide is free, the test sample too. You are tied to nothing. You read the guide, you test what you want on one load, you decide. We only earn when you become a customer later.

P.S. Still in doubt? Reading the guide takes you 15 minutes. Work out for yourself what one second round a day costs you over a year in water, chemical, hours and sold slots. Doing nothing costs you that same second round every single day.

P.P.S. You get the guide straight in your inbox. No calls after. We supply companies, so we only ask for your email and your company name.
